MTE Consultants Acquires RIZZ Engineering, Strengthening Expertise in Structural Design and Precast Concrete
As a historic landmark on Lake Ontario, The Boulevard Club serves as a private social and sporting club for its members, offering a full-service marina, dining options, and athletic facilities in Downtown Toronto.
The Boulevard Club offers swimming facilities that include both indoor and outdoor pools, along with a Splash Pad for children, as well as a Badminton Centre and Fitness Centre. The West Wing features a 3,000-square-foot multi-purpose room for indoor sports, as well as 10 Har-Tru tennis courts for year-round play. Additionally, the club houses yachting facilities with full-service docks and hosts a variety of social events.
MTE provided structural engineering services for the renovation of the historic Boulevard Club, focusing on the complex structural design of the building. This included the creation of curved and sloped exterior steel stud walls supported by uniquely shaped steel HSS framing in the West Wing Replacement. Additionally, MTE designed the structural framework for the building’s exterior soffits.
