We are currently seeking a CAD Technologist to join our Building Engineering Division to work out of our Kingston office.
MTE Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that has been shaping Ontario since 1985 with offices in Barrie, Burlington, Kingston, Kitchener, London, Ottawa, Stratford and Toronto. Responsibilities
- Prepare building envelope and structural repair drawings for a variety of building restoration projects using current Autodesk CAD software
- Use Sketchup and Photoshop software to prepare renderings for cladding renovation projects
- Additional duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma in Architectural Technician/Technology or Civil Engineering Technician/Technology
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role (including co-op experience)
- Certified Technician (C.Tech.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation or working towards C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation
- Architectural Technologist (MAATO) designation, or working towards MAATO designation;
- Experienced with AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of a variety of software including CAD, Sketchup and Photoshop
- Understanding of applicable design standards, Ontario Building Code, and general engineering principles
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management skills

Salary Range
$23.79 – $29.74 per hour, plus benefits
Hourly Wage will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
