MTE's Involvement
MTE provided multidisciplinary engineering and surveying services to support the successful redevelopment of the site, including civil, environmental, building engineering, and surveying expertise.
Our environmental team completed a Phase One Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), while our building engineering team carried out a Building Condition Assessment (BCA) to evaluate the existing structure and guide rehabilitation efforts. Our surveying team completed the topographic survey and reference plan required to support design and construction.
As the civil consultant, MTE prepared the grading and servicing design, including stamped grading and servicing drawings, a Functional Servicing and Stormwater Management Report, and a Dust Impact Analysis. Our team also prepared tender drawings and provided construction inspection services, helping ensure the redevelopment was delivered efficiently while supporting the long-term performance of the site.
Together, these services helped transform a historic industrial building into a resilient, culturally meaningful housing development that preserves Hamilton’s architectural heritage while addressing a critical need for affordable housing.
