MTE's Involvement
MTE’s structural engineering team worked closely with the architectural team throughout both the design and construction phases. This collaboration helped shape key design elements, including transparent walls between learning, athletic, and community spaces to promote visibility, interaction, and a culture of participation. Sustainability was also a key focus, demonstrated through the design of a 67-foot-tall glass tower that supports natural ventilation and reduces reliance on mechanical systems.
The complex includes a wide range of amenities, such as a double gymnasium with a varsity court, bleachers with seating for 1,250 people, change rooms, and a fitness facility. It also features therapeutic recreation space, a 125-seat lecture theatre, active learning classrooms, and dedicated research areas. Specialized spaces—including a massage clinic, paramedic simulation labs, hospital and retail pharmacy labs, and nursing simulation suites—enhance hands-on learning, while collaborative meeting areas and student social spaces support connection and campus life. to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
